I am positioned in a 180 acute care hospital that offers multiple specialties. My current position is CNS to an IMCU, ICU, and 2 Medical Surgical units.

My work day starts at 0700-3:30.

Private OB/GYN practice. I work with two Uro/Gyn physicians as the Urology Procedures Nurse.

Urology/Gynecology Urodynamics

I provide inpatient advanced nursing specialty consultation services for patients experiencing hyperglycemia and/or with complex diabetes. I work in collaboration with medical staff to conduct advanced nursing assessments, recommend and interpret diagnostic procedures and implement specialty care plans.

I am currently working with the Program for Diabetes Health. My main location I serve is at Memorial Regional Medical Center but have privileges at St Francis and St Mary's Hospitals. We run the inpatient diabetes management services and are asked to see and manage patients in all units of the hospital.

Medical-surgical ICU (MICU) Coronary care unit (CCU) Cath Lab

This preceptorship is for new graduate nurses and nurses who are new to ICU/critical care/Cath Lab.

Lactation Education Resources offers internships for nurses who aspire to become IBCLCs. These internships are offered in hospital settings such as mother-baby and labor and delivery units.

If you have a good deal of clinical lactation management practice and would like to validate and enhance your clinical skills, the 100-hour program is for you. This program is specifically for professionals who just want to increase their experience in an area where they do not have experience, such as a NICU nurse who wants experience with out-patient, older healthy babies. If you are new to the field of lactation management and would like to qualify for the IBLCE Exam by Pathway 3, the 500-hour program will offer you a wide range of clinical experiences working with experienced lactation consultants.
